Adult Ministries at Alleluia

At Alleluia! our adult ministries are also organized according to our purpose statement and core values.

Our Purpose is:
Teaching God's Word while
serving others and
building a Spirit-filled community
following Jesus.

Our Core Values are:
Life in Christ, Worship, Education, Fellowship and Excellence.

Life in Christ

As a community we are Christ-centered, serving others for Jesus, with an outward focus of generosity. We volunteer at local food pantries, schools and nursing homes. We regluarly invite others to join with us through outreach events like our free Super Bowl Sunday Pancake Breakfast.

For the last few years, we have been participating in an ecumenical day of service over Labor Day weekend. Held in Plain City, it is called "Be the Church Sunday." We gather with our neighboring churches to worship together in a local park and then go out to serve together through various projects. For more information, see the Be the Church website at www.bethechurchplaincity.org. Other Adult service opportunties include hosting a free Coffee for Commuters drive through at our office and staffing booths at local functions such as the Plain City Car Show and the Heritage Days.

If you would like more information on any of these ministries, please contact Lisa Wallschlaeger.

Worship

We gather around the Cross of Christ praising God with zest, vitality and humor. Adults with the desire to serve can participate in our praise band, help lead prayers and worship and decorate and care for our office and worship space.

If you would like more information on our worship, please contact James Zeid.

Education

We are a Biblically-based church, with Christ at the center, focused on learning and living in God’s Word. We have regular Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School, starting at 9:15 a.m. and a Wednesday Night Bible Study. We also have several Small Groups that meet together to study various topics. We have active Mens and Womens Groups. Periodically we sponsor special study groups such as Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.

If you would like more information on our educational ministries, please contact Heather Guthrie.

Fellowship

As Jesus taught, we respect and love each other, building fellowship through mutual support, collaboration, and compassion - recognizing our diversity.

We get to know each other with seasonal fellowship dinners, cookouts and theme nights. Some of our recent fellowship activities have been a Wii Tournament, Minute-To-Win-It Olympics and a Dinners-For-Eight event. Every February we host a free Superbowl Pancake Breakfast to show our support for our favorite teams and collect money for various charities. Many of our ladies participate in the national program called Prayers & Squares, which creates quilts for those undergoing life's struggles.

If you would like more information on our fellowship ministries, please contact Sandy Weldon.

Excellence in Administration

As written in the scriptures, we strive to do our best with our God given gifts focusing on quality and operating with high integrity. There are ample opportunities for congregation members to serve using their administrative and organizational gifts.
